The Man Behind Naruto Shippuden and Fairy Tail's Soundtrack is coming to Uzumaki London

There's a reason certain scenes from Naruto Shippuden live rent-free in your head years later. It's not just the animation, or the dialogue, it's also the score underneath it, doing the emotional heavy lifting before you've even clocked what's happening. The man behind so many of those moments is Yasuharu Takanashi.

And on Thursday 1 October, he's walking through our doors.

The composer behind the soundtrack

Takanashi's work got its start on the Naruto soundtrack itself, where he was part of the Musashi Project collaboration that shaped the show's earliest, most iconic sound, before going on to define the emotional core of Shippuden in his own right.

He carried that same instinct into Fairy Tail, scoring a decade's worth of a guild's triumphs and heartbreaks with the same precision, knowing exactly when to let the silence hit harder than the strings.

Now he's bringing that legacy to Uzumaki London.

What's actually happening

This isn't just a meet-and-greet where you shuffle past a table and get a wave. This is built around one of the most influential composers in anime history and it comes loaded:

  • Photo and signing with Yasuharu Takanashi himself

  • A complimentary anime cocktail or mocktail, made for the occasion

  • Uzumaki London snacks, because nobody's doing emotional damage on an empty stomach

  • A signed tour programme to keep the receipts

  • A shot at Takanashi's concert on 2 October: enter the draw for a chance to be one of 8 winners taking a plus-one to see Takanashi live with Far East Groove on 2 October

The details:

Thursday 1 October @ Uzumaki London

Tickets are live now here. Draw winners for the concert tickets get announced 18 September, so get in early.

This is a UK residents only event and T&Cs apply, and we mean it when we say don't sleep on this one, nights with the people behind the sound of your childhood don't come around twice.

See you there and why not book a table to eat before or after and really experience the full anime experience?
